THIS TUTORIAL SHOWS YOU HOW TO USE ANY OF THE CLOSED SHAPED OBJECTS I CREATE AND SELL IN THE STORE (i.e. rectangles, hearts, circles, scraps, alpha letters, arrows, ...). I use Jasc Paint Shop Pro 9; I hope your software has similar tools to work with. Thanks for your interest. Page 1 of 3 I'm using the 3"x3" paper from my "free-to-try kit" and scrap #1 from my "scrappack #1" in the store. 1) Insert the paper tear overlay into your layout (make sure it is on a layer above the paper layer). Make sure you are on the tear overlay layer and move the tear overlay where you want it.
2) Use the SELECTION tool = MAGIC WAND and click INSIDE the tear, on the NON-shadowed side of the tear. (example magic wand settings: RBG value, Tolerance=0, Continuous, Feather=o, Anti-Alias, Outside)
A mask should appear outlining the paper you want to keep, inside the shape.
